Goat Simulator Series Is Getting a Card Game, Coming Later This Year

None of us probably expected to hear this, but Goat Simulator is getting its own card game! How will it be? Yes, I’m eager to see how the game will turn out to be. It’s expected to hit the stores later this year.

Coffee Stain North, the game studio behind Goat Simulator, is teaming up with MOOD Publishing for the upcoming Card Game. The latter is the maker of games like Deep Rock Galactic: The Board Game and Valheim: The Board Game.

What Else Do We Know About Goat Simulator: The Card Game?

As of now, the developers haven’t shared many details about the game. However, we know that it will allow 2-6 players to engage in a battle filled with goat-driven mayhem. It promises to encapsulate all the absurdity of the original franchise, wrapped up in a lovely, card-filled box.

Goat Simulator: The Card Game is a physical card game set to launch on Kickstarter later this year. If you’ve ever yeeted a goat into oblivion in the video game, you can probably imagine the energy that will be brought to the card game format.

Santiago Ferrero, the Creative Director at Coffee Stain North, had a hilariously spot-on take on the upcoming game. “Chaotic animal-based video games are so last year. That’s why we’ve partnered with MOOD Publishing to release a chaotic animal-based card game instead! You’ve seen goats on your screen; now it’s time to bring them to your table.”

Who Knew Goat Simulation Would Become a Genre in Itself?

What started as an April Fool’s joke in 2014 turned into a phenomenon. From PCs and consoles to Nintendo Switch, iOS, Android, and Apple Arcade, the goat-themed game has somehow remained relevant all these years.

And now, with Goat Simulator 3 building on the absurd legacy of its predecessor, we have card games joining the series. Until then, check out the Goat Simulator games on the Google Play Store.
