A new Genshin Impact leak has revealed more details about a new DPS unit that will join the roster with update 5.0. Developer HoYoverse has already confirmed that once Fontaine's main storyline wraps up, the new major update will introduce the long-awaited Natlan region to the game.
The addition of a new major region is probably the most anticipated event for Genshin Impact's community, as it will introduce tons of content, including new playable terrain, characters, weapons, storylines, and more. Apart from being the Pyro nation, Natlan is also known for its affiliation with war, which is why the Pyro Archon Murata also goes by the name God of War.
A Genshin Impact leaker known as Uncle K has revealed more details about a new character that should join the roster with update 5.0. The new character will be a Dendro DPS unit whose kit will revolve around two elemental reactions, Bloom and Burning. Bloom can be triggered by combining Dendro with Hydro, which causes small explosive Dendro Cores to drop on the battlefield. Burning is even simpler, as it applies a DoT effect once Dendro and Pyro are combined. Previous Genshin Impact leaks have suggested that this character will have a five-star rarity and a male model. His weapon of choice will be the Claymore, making this character the first five-star unit to have this element and weapon combination.
Genshin Impact Players Are Suspicious About the Burning Reaction
Many fans seem suspicious about the character's kit being tied to the Burning elemental reaction, considering that it's widely considered much weaker compared to other Dendro reactions. HoYoverse has confirmed the arrival of a new five-star Dendro support in Genshin Impact, Emilie, for update 4.8 Even though she was initially designed to be a Burning character, recent leaks have revealed that Emilie received a couple of buffs that made her more flexible and able to adapt to other team compositions.
It should be noted that the only character confirmed to be joining the roster for certain is Natlan's Pyro Archon, who has yet to officially make an appearance. There is a chance that HoYoverse will introduce many Natlan characters in their Special Program event for update 4.8, which should go live around July 5.
Recent Genshin Impact leaks have also suggested that the main villain in the Natlan arc will be Columbina, also known as the Third Fatui Harbinger. Columbina is rumored to be a powerful Genshin Impact Cryo user who is expected to join the roster in 2025.
