Dynasty Warriors: Origins, while not open-world, features a sizable map that can become challenging to navigate as the game progresses. Unlocking new skirmishes and requests often necessitates significant backtracking. Fortunately, fast travel significantly reduces this travel time, especially for players aiming to complete all side content.
Fast Travel in Dynasty Warriors: Origins
Fast travel utilizes Waymarks accessible through the in-game map screen. To enable fast travel to a Waymark, players must first unlock it by approaching it on the world map and holding X (PlayStation) or A (Xbox). The unlocked Waymark will then appear on the map screen, allowing instant travel.
Accessing the map is achieved either by interacting with an unlocked Waymark on the world map (outside of battle), pausing the game and navigating to the Map menu via shoulder buttons, or, for PlayStation players, by pressing the DualSense touchpad while on the world map.
The map screen displays nearby key locations and battles when hovering over an unlocked Waymark. Pressing Square (PlayStation) or X (Xbox) toggles information display. Players can then cycle through available battles and locations using Triangle (PlayStation) or Y (Xbox), moving the cursor to the nearest Waymark.
