Fantasian Neo Dimension: Mastering the Tachyon Medal
Fantasian Neo Dimension plunges players into a breathtaking world where Leo and his companions battle Jas's "Zero" plan – a catastrophic threat to existence itself. The game's captivating story and unique mechanics create an immersive experience.
The Tachyon Medal is a crucial late-game item, integral to a challenging, extended side quest. Obtaining it is just the first step; its true purpose unfolds later. This guide details how to acquire and utilize the Tachyon Medal.
Locating the Tachyon Medal
The Tachyon Medal's existence is first hinted at in Shangri-La, and it's the final item acquired before the final boss encounter. To obtain it, progress through the main storyline until reaching Sanctum, situated in the God Realm via the Communication Network. Inside the Mirror of Order, you'll face God's Predator, a formidable but conquerable boss. Be prepared for its frequent summoning of allies and its "Consume" attack (90% health drain). Kina's healing abilities are essential, and Petrification Null equipment significantly eases the battle.
Leo's Fire Samidare +2 proves highly effective against summoned enemies. Cherryl, utilizing Concentrate and Charge, also inflicts substantial damage.
After defeating God's Predator, proceed to the Laboratory through the Balcony. Amidst the rubble, a chest on your right contains the Tachyon Medal.
Utilizing the Tachyon Medal
Activating the Tachyon Medal requires completing two objectives. First, reach the Altar in Shangri-La. Second, finish the Cinderella Tri-Stars side quest. These three-star challenges are scattered across eight locations, with the initial two integrated into the main story:
- En New District
- Midi Toy Box - Secret Room
- Royal Capital - Main Street
- Frozen Tundra - Center
- Hidden Valley – Duet Path
- Ancient Hill – River
- Nameless Island – Depths
- Shangri-La – Fallen City
Defeat the bosses in the prescribed order. After the final defeat in Shangri-La, three chests beneath the Altar become accessible. One holds the Holy Belt (All Ailment Null).
Opening all three chests triggers a glow on the door, prompting you to use the Tachyon Medal to rewind time. Possessing the Medal initiates NG+ from this point, carrying over levels, items, and equipment. While enemies are enhanced, this shouldn't pose significant difficulty, especially for players who've completed all side quests. Using the Medal also unlocks the Time Reverse Trophy/Achievement, allowing you to restart your quest to save the Human Realm.
