"The Exit 8: 3D Liminal Space Simulator Now on Android!"

The Exit 8 has made its way to Android, blending various intriguing elements into a unique gaming experience. Developed by Kotake Create and published by Playism, this game is available for $3.99. It's not just another walking simulator; it's a journey filled with eerie twists that challenge your every step.

A Creepy Walking Adventure

In The Exit 8, you find yourself navigating an endless underground passageway reminiscent of a Japanese metro station. You're trapped in a loop where the tiles, lights, posters, and even the solitary man walking towards you repeat endlessly. The core challenge lies in spotting anomalies—perhaps a poster with a different graphic, lights flickering a bit too much, or even a river of blood replacing the floor. The game's mechanics revolve around noticing these subtle changes and reacting swiftly.

If you detect something unusual, you must turn back. If not, you continue forward. The objective is to reach the eighth exit without making a mistake, which means correctly identifying and responding to eight consecutive anomalies. Fail, and you'll have to start over.

The Exit 8 Lets You Soak in a Surreal, Unsettling Atmosphere

The game's design draws inspiration from the concept of liminal spaces and the Backrooms. The setting is modeled after real Japanese metro stations, such as Kiyosumi-Shirakawa Station in Tokyo, capturing the claustrophobic feel of repetitive architecture. The Exit 8 immerses you in an environment where you must actively engage with your surroundings, searching for the smallest details that might indicate danger or a shift in reality. This constant questioning of your memory and perception ensures that each playthrough feels unique.

Originally released for PC in November 2023, The Exit 8 took about nine months to develop. It garnered 1.4 million downloads worldwide on Steam. Now available on mobile, you can download it from the Google Play Store.
