Dredge's mobile release delayed until February 2025, but a new closed beta is now open for registration!
Fans eagerly awaiting the mobile port of Black Salt Games' Lovecraftian fishing horror, Dredge, will need to exercise a bit more patience. The release has been pushed back to February 2025. However, to soften the blow, Black Salt Games has announced a new closed beta test with open sign-ups.
For the uninitiated, Dredge casts players as a fisherman in the eerie town of Greater Marrow. What begins as simple fishing quickly descends into a chilling tale of bizarre sea creatures, mysterious entities, and the unsettling threat of madness. A nearby island holds further mysteries and escalating horrors.
Interested in participating in the closed mobile beta? Sign up via this Google Form. Despite the delay, Dredge's numerous awards and critical acclaim suggest the wait will be worthwhile for those who haven't already experienced this unique blend of fishing and horror.
A Challenging Port
Having played the PC version, the delay is understandable. Adapting such a vast and detailed world to mobile is a significant undertaking. The additional closed beta is a smart move, allowing Black Salt Games to gather valuable player feedback before the official launch.
