In the last decade, the dream of playing online across different platforms has become a reality, significantly uniting the *Call of Duty* community. However, crossplay isn't without its challenges. If you're looking to disable crossplay in *Black Ops 6*, here's how to do it and what you should consider.

Should You Disable Crossplay in Black Ops 6? Answered

Disabling crossplay in *Black Ops 6* can be a strategic move, but it comes with its pros and cons. The primary reason players opt to disable crossplay is to ensure a more level playing field, particularly for console players on Xbox and PlayStation who wish to avoid competing against PC players.

If you're on a console, you might want to disable crossplay due to the inherent advantages PC players have with their mouse and keyboard setup. Aiming with a mouse offers greater precision than a controller, and PC players might also have easier access to mods and cheats. Despite *Call of Duty*'s Ricochet Anti-Cheat system, players in *Black Ops 6* and *Warzone* have reported encountering hackers and cheaters. Disabling crossplay could theoretically reduce the number of cheaters in your lobbies.

However, there's a significant downside to disabling crossplay: it reduces the pool of players available for matchmaking. This can lead to longer wait times for matches and potentially poorer connections between players, as we've experienced with crossplay turned off.
