This rating reflects the game's content, which includes "excessive violence," "excessive profanity, profanity and swearing," and scenes depicting the use of various illegal substances.

In a touching gesture, game creator Hideo Kojima presented flowers to actress Shiori Kutsuna, celebrating her completion of work on *Death Stranding 2*. During the Tokyo Game Show 2024, Hideo Kojima unveiled new materials for *Death Stranding 2: On the Beach*, showcasing several two-minute cutscenes that introduced viewers to the protagonist's allies. Among them is Tarman, portrayed by George Miller, who commands the mobile base Magellan as it navigates tar lakes. Another character, Dollman, played by Fatih Akin, is depicted as a living doll and former medium who has lost his human form. Additionally, Léa Seydoux reprises her role as Fragile, adding continuity to the narrative.
The enigmatic character played by Elle Fanning, named Tomorrow, was discovered in a setting that resembles the realm of the dead, echoing the original game's theme encapsulated in the tagline "Tomorrow is in your hands." One of the cutscenes features characters singing the classic song "Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head" by Burt Bacharach and Hal David, while interacting with a pregnant woman named Rainy, portrayed by Shiori Kutsuna.
