Deadlock's February Update: Minor Tweaks, Major Impact
Valve continues to roll out updates for Deadlock, this time focusing on a smaller patch affecting four heroes and several items. The changes represent a shift in the developer's approach, moving away from a fixed schedule towards a more reactive, needs-based update system.
Calico suffered significant nerfs. Her Return to Shadows ability received a substantial cooldown increase (ten seconds) and a 20% speed reduction shifted to Tier 2. The damage output of her Tier 2 Leaping Slash was also decreased.
Sinclair received a visual overhaul with updated sounds and animations, and his Rabbit Hex ability now boasts an area-of-effect (AoE) impact. Holliday and Wraith also experienced nerfs, though specifics were not detailed.
Item adjustments include a reduction in stacks for Ammo Scavenger, removing its health bonus. Furthermore, Extra Stamina and Restorative Shot no longer offer bonuses to Fire Rate and Weapon Damage, respectively.

This marks the fifth Deadlock update of 2025 and the first of February. The developers' new, flexible update strategy ensures patches are deployed when necessary, rather than adhering to a rigid schedule.
