Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is facing a significant player exodus, raising concerns about the game's future. Prominent streamers and competitive players are expressing alarm at the declining player base and a surge in cheating.

Call of Duty legend, OpTic Scump, has declared the franchise's current state as its worst ever. He attributes this largely to the premature release of the ranked mode, exacerbated by a malfunctioning anti-cheat system resulting in rampant cheating.

The issues are further compounded by streamer FaZe Swagg's on-stream rage quit due to connectivity problems, leading him to switch to Marvel Rivals. His stream even included a live counter tracking hacker encounters.

Adding to the woes is the heavy nerfing of the zombies mode, impacting the acquisition of coveted camouflage skins, coupled with an overwhelming influx of cosmetic items. Critics argue that while monetization options have expanded, meaningful gameplay improvements are lacking. This situation, despite the franchise's historically massive budgets, is causing considerable concern. Player patience is finite, and the game appears to be teetering on the brink of a critical juncture.
