Treyarch is developing a much-requested in-game challenge tracker for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. This feature, present in 2023's Modern Warfare 3, was notably absent from Black Ops 6 at launch, much to the disappointment of players. While a release date remains unannounced, its inclusion is anticipated with the upcoming Season 2 update later this month.
A recent January 9th update addressed several bugs affecting the game's UI and audio in both Multiplayer and Zombies modes. The update also boosted XP rewards for the Red Light, Green Light mode and reversed a controversial Zombies change from January 3rd, restoring the original round timing and zombie spawn mechanics in Directed Mode following community feedback.
Challenge Tracking Feature Confirmed
Treyarch confirmed the challenge tracker's development via Twitter, responding to a player inquiry. The feature's implementation is expected to mirror Modern Warfare 3's functionality, providing real-time challenge progress tracking within the game's UI. This will significantly benefit players striving for Mastery camos and other challenging objectives.
Additional Improvements on the Horizon
In a separate tweet, Treyarch acknowledged player requests for separate HUD settings for Multiplayer and Zombies modes, confirming this feature is also under development. This will allow for customized HUD configurations tailored to each game mode, enhancing player experience.
