How to Start The Lion’s Crest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
After completing the tutorial in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 and gaining access to the open world, head to Troskowitz and speak with the scribe Gaibl to initiate The Lion’s Crest quest. Gaibl will provide you with a riddle and the smithing recipe for Brunswick’s polearm. You'll need to gather the materials yourself, but you can craft the weapon at the blacksmith’s forge.
The Lion’s Crest Riddle Solution
The riddle you receive is:
“Take your leave of crone and maiden, standing tall behind the gates, boldly go towards true midnight, in caverns cold your prize awaits. Pass through the hall of forest kings, hidden deep from hunters’ gaze, standing tall two guards of stone, behind who yearned for treasure lays. Between then stands a mighty rock, a subtle niche yet deeper still, a place to give one’s heart to God, behold my armour gleaming still.”
To solve this, start at Trosky Castle where you'll find the Crone Tower and Maiden Tower. Exit through the northern gates and head north into the forest.
Follow the road and keep an eye on the left side for rocky formations with small crevices. Navigate through these to reach a cave containing a chapel. Examine the cross on the rock next to the chapel to find the first piece of Brunswick’s Armour and two treasure maps to guide your further journey.

Continue west on the road that led you to the chapel until you reach a crossroads. Head north into the woods to locate a wolf den. Search the trees just above the den to find a bag containing the second piece of Brunswick’s armour.

The second map directs you to Vidlak Pond's small outpost. Follow the path behind the fisherman’s house and look for a large rock formation along the cliffs. Ascend the rocks to find a chest next to a cross.

Fast travel to Zhelejov, head to the tavern, and then leave the settlement. Cross the two bridges towards Tachov, but after the second bridge, take a small path leading to the river and forest. Follow this path to a hill, and examine the large tree at the top to find bones and a bag with more armour.

The final map leads to a hill between the Nomads’ Camp and Bozhena’s Hut. Search for rocks with a cross on top to find the last piece of Brunswick’s armour.
