Players assume the role of Coen, a Dawnwalker – a being existing between human and vampire – in the fictional 14th-century world of Vale Sangora. Unlike typical protagonists, Coen is portrayed as emotionally vulnerable and relatable, according to narrative director Jakub Szamalek. His quest: to save his family within a 30-day/night timeframe, against the backdrop of a crumbling civilization ruled by the antagonist Brencis, an ancient vampire. While the game features a time constraint, the developers emphasize extended gameplay hours. The trailer highlights Coen's unique abilities, including superhuman agility and occult magic.
