The Dark Knight's reign in the video game world was once a near-constant stream of new releases. Rocksteady's Batman Arkham series, in particular, redefined superhero gaming, a legacy felt even today.
Yet, the Bat-signal has dimmed considerably in recent years. A true solo Batman adventure hasn't graced our screens since 2017's The Enemy Within, and there's no immediate indication of that changing. While comic book fans eagerly anticipate new superhero titles, those yearning to don the cowl will have to delve into the past to discover the finest Batman games available.

He appeared in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, though Rocksteady's offering isn't strictly a Batman game. The Arkhamverse, however, received a VR expansion.
