Bam Margera Joins THPS 3+4 Following Tony Hawk's Insistence

Bam Margera has been confirmed to be included in the roster for the upcoming Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4, despite not being featured on the initial list of returning skaters. This news was revealed by skateboarding media veteran Roger Bagley during a members-only livestream on The Nine Club skateboarding podcast, as reported by Video Games Chronicle.

According to Bagley, the game was "already done" when Tony Hawk personally reached out to Activision to request Margera's inclusion. Although initially told it was not possible, Hawk's persistence led to Margera being added to the game. IGN has reached out to Activision for further comment on this development.

Margera, known for his role in the Jackass franchise and as a former professional skateboarder, has faced significant public challenges with alcohol and substance abuse, including multiple rehab visits. He was also dismissed from the Jackass Forever project and was the subject of a restraining order filed by Jackass director Jeff Tremaine following alleged threats.

Recent videos of Hawk and Margera skateboarding together had sparked speculation about Margera's potential return to the game. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4, announced earlier this month, is set to launch on July 11, 2025, and will be available on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The game is being developed by Iron Galaxy and has managed to overcome the challenges posed by Activision's merger of the previous developer, Vicarious Visions, with Blizzard.
