In 2022, Innersloth took the gaming world by storm with the release of a virtual reality adaptation of Among Us, which was met with widespread acclaim. Now, they're pushing the boundaries even further with the announcement of Among Us 3D. This new version brings the beloved game into a fully immersive first-person perspective, and the best part? No VR headset is required.
Players can look forward to the same core mechanics they've grown to love, but reimagined for traditional gaming setups. A teaser trailer has been released, giving fans a sneak peek at how tasks, meetings, and sabotage will feel when experienced through the eyes of their character. Excitingly, you'll have the opportunity to dive into this new mode during Steam's upcoming "Game On" festival, where a free demo will be available for testing.
While an official release date hasn't been announced yet, Among Us 3D is set to debut on PC as its primary platform. It will be optimized for keyboard and mouse controls, featuring an updated interface designed to enhance accessibility. Cross-play functionality will also be included, allowing users of Among Us 3D to team up with those playing on Among Us VR. However, the original Among Us will remain independent of these versions.
To further enrich the player experience, Innersloth plans to introduce a new in-game currency called Stardust within the next few months. This addition aims to expand customization options, giving players more ways to personalize their avatars and contribute to the game's ongoing evolution.
