Mindi

Mindi is a captivating, team-based trick-taking card game that offers endless fun and challenges your intelligence. Known by various names such as MindiKot, Mendhi Coat, Mindi Multiplayer, and Dehla Pakad (which means "Collect the tens"), this game has garnered a wide following, especially in India, where it's a beloved pastime for countless hours with family and friends.

The primary goal of Mindi is to win tricks that contain tens. Designed for four players divided into two partnerships sitting opposite each other, the game utilizes a standard 52-card deck. The player who draws the highest card becomes the first dealer, responsible for shuffling and dealing 13 cards to each player.

Mindi offers two distinct modes of play, ensuring unlimited fun for everyone:

• Hide Mode: In this mode, the player to the dealer's right selects a card, placing it face down on the table. This card determines the trump suit for the round.

• Cut Mode: If no trump suit is chosen initially, play begins without one. If a player cannot follow suit, the card they play becomes the trump for the deal.

Once the trump suit is established for the hand, the highest card of that suit played to a trick wins it. If no trump card is played, the highest card of the suit led wins the trick. The winner of each trick leads the next one, and all captured tricks are kept in a face-down pile by the winner.

Victory in Mindi is achieved when one partnership captures three or four of the Tens. Capturing all four Tens results in a special win known as Mendicot.
