Enjoy the classic offline card game 29 anytime, anywhere! This game, sometimes called the 28 Card Game (with minor rule variations), is a South Asian trick-taking card game where Jacks and Nines are the highest cards in each suit.
Typically played by four players in fixed partnerships (partners seated opposite each other), 29 uses 32 cards from a standard deck. The suits (hearts, diamonds, clubs, spades) each contain eight cards ranked: J-9-A-10-K-Q-8-7. The goal is to win tricks with high-value cards.
Card values are:
- Jacks: 3 points each
- Nines: 2 points each
- Aces: 1 point each
- Tens: 1 point each
- Other cards (K, Q, 8, 7): 0 points
This totals 28 points. Some versions add a point for the last trick, resulting in 29 (hence the game's name). Many players today omit this point, but the name remains.
Traditionally, Twos, Threes, Fours, and Fives (removed from the deck) serve as trump indicators, and Sixes are used for scoring.
